Auditors

The Office of the County Auditors consists of an elected board of three auditors. The County Auditors audit, prove, and adjust the accounts of all the Offices of Elk County including row offices: Register & Recorder, Prothonotary, Sheriff, Treasurer, and Tax Claim. It is also the responsibility of the office to audit the two (2) District Justice Offices, Elk County Correctional Facility, and Elk County Tax Collectors. Each year the auditors must complete an Annual Audit and Financial Report for the prior year which is filed with the Department of Commerce and Economic Development (DCED). The County Auditors are always available to answer questions to help with better record- keeping for the entire County.
