Commencing on Monday, September 30, 2024 Media to run the voting machines will be tested.
Commencing on Monday, September 30, 2024 to Saturday, October 12, 2024 – Machines will be set-up to charge batteries.
Commencing on Monday, September 30, 2024 to Saturday, October 12, 2024 or until complete – Final Testing will be held on the voting machines.
All of the above action will take place in the Gym of the Elk County Courthouse Annex Building. All dates and times are subject to changes without further notice.
Notice
The Elk County Board of Elections will meet and commence on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 7:00 A.M. in Conference Room #2 of the Courthouse Annex Building for the purpose of pre-canvassing of returns of votes casted. This includes absentee/mail-in ballots received for the Municipal Election to be held November 4, 2025.
The Elk County Board of Elections will meet and commence on, Friday, November 7, 2025 at 9:00 A.M. in Conference Room #2 of the Courthouse Annex Building for the purpose of computation and canvassing of returns of votes casted. This includes Absentee/Mail-in, Provisionals, Military and other ballots cast at the Municipal Election to be held November 4, 2025.
The Elk County Board of Elections will conclude by Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. meeting in Conference Room #2.
The Elk County Board of Elections will meet in conference room #2 of the Courthouse Annex Building on November 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. for the purpose of casting of lots for Tie Votes in the November 4, 2025 Municipal Election.
Board of Elections & Contacts
The Elk County Board of Elections consists of the three County Commissioners, with the exception of when the County Commissioners are on the ballot. At that time the Court appoints a board.
It is the duty of the Election Board to oversee the process of the Elections and Voter Registration Office. The Office registers voters, maintains the voter registration files, prepares ballots, distributes petitions, equips polling places, and performs all other duties involved in the electoral process.
