The Electronics Recycling program began in June 2004 and since that time we have recycled in excess of 3 million pounds of electronics. An astounding feat, considering our county is so rural. The program has operated as a “free” service for residents since its inception. No business electronics will be accepted. As with all our programs, we also accept donations to help cover our costs.

The center is located at 850 Washington Street in St. Marys and is open Mondays: 10 am – 2 pm, Wednesdays: 12 pm – 7 pm, and Fridays: 10 am – 2 pm.

We were one of the first counties in Pennsylvania to offer an ongoing collection of electronics components, and our program covers a wide variety of items, the majority of which are listed here.

*Businesses looking to recycle electronics will be refered to our contractor.

NOTE: We are no longer able to accept vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, or other “High Plastic” content household appliances. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
